• Introduction

Arts & Commerce College was established in 1971 & Science faculty was established in 2006 at Shendurni Tal: Jamner Dist: Jalgaon. This college has emerged as an esteemed and renowned educational institution in North Maharashtra Areas. The Department of Physics is one of the Major departments in the science faculty of the college. This department was established in the year June 2006. And has taken efforts to develop the department.

• Aims and Objectives of the Department

The department of physics was introduced with certain specific aims and objectives such as:

1. To create interest among the students in physics.
2. To familiarize the student with the important role of physics in their day to day life.
3. To develop scientific attitude & scientific temperament among the students.
4. To make the student aware of the proper use of basic knowledge of physics for the betterment of human beings.
5. To generate enriched & empowered citizens at large.
6. To give the current knowledge & Information about various discoveries in the field of   Physics.
7. To promote research in physical sciences.

     Main objectives of the subject is to provide opportunities to students so that they may acquire knowledge through self-experience in class rooms and lab situation possible through certain activities as problem solving projects and such scientific/ experimental activities. Efforts are made to achieve all these aims & objective throughout the years in   the departmental set-up.
